The Game is On

Soooooo stage for The World Cup Cricket is set. & "I'm excited" will be the understatement of the year!! Cricket mania has gripped the entire nation & I'm not spared either. For the next month & a half I'll be living & breathing cricket. India is entering the tournament as a favorite by popular choice *woohoo* After the oh so dismal performance in the 2007 edition, its got a fresh new brigade ready to take on the challenge & I'm sure they won't disappoint. The best part is India is going to host a big chunk of matches *woohoo again* :D So the excitement increases manifold & I'm dizzy with happiness *heart beats faster* (Ok,calm down Raey) 

Now I'm just gonna hope for the best performance ever by the Men in blue *looks above & gives a long hard stare* (They better do God or else...Grrrrr!!)

Sunset Boulevard

Hey All!!

Hows it going with everyone? I have been MIA (missing in action that is) due to my exams which now seem to go on for eternity. Cant wait for them to be over so that I can Go SHOPPING (I'm in dire need of clothes!! Hell when am I not! Thats a different story.) Also i missed the Kala Ghoda Art Festival *sob sob*  STUPID EXAMS again! Anyhoo enough with the whining. I finally went on my maiden trip to Pune..YAY!! I was there for the 2nd round of my MBA entrance (Yes I'm an MBA aspirant,did I never mention that?) The city is just absolutely beautiful & so diverse. The main city is so vibrant that you will never even a moment of boredom! The outskirts of Pune is equally amazing. The picturesque landscape will just take your breath away. I saw the most beautiful sunset of my life. The campus of the institute I wanna get into is simply superb! Now I so badly hope to get through!! & the best part is I didn't get homesick at all while I was there. All because its so similar to Mumbai. Can't wait to go back again! Keeping fingers crossed :)

Hope & Faith

Its been a crazy couple of weeks!! Results,admissions anxiety,wedding season!! PHEW! A gazillion different things are happening around me..& all at the same time. The year has begun on a promising note & I hope it continues..! :) Things are finally looking good after a not so happening 2010. 2011 is so going to be my year fellas!! ;) Finally I'm leaving the baggage behind & moving towards a new horizon. Just when you think that things are never going to get better, a ray of sunshine just pierces through the blanket of darkness & lights up your life! What certain events have taught me is that Never Give Up because Happiness is just right around the corner & as someone rightly said that whatever happens..happens for the best! You might not realize it now..but eventually you will know that God has the best plans for you. All you need to do is never let your faith in him wander. Like Martin Luther said "All who call on God in true faith, earnestly from the heart, will certainly be heard, and will receive what they have asked and desired." & he couldn't be more right!! :)

P.S. Thanks JJ for inspiring me to write my first post of 2011. You're truly one of my bestest friends!! :)

So finally I'm done with exams, well atleast for the year '10..& I'm all excited for 2011. There are so many things to look forward to. Hope it turns out to be better than 2010 which was pretty eventful itself :)

Break ke Baad

No..This is not a review of the above said movie..It is about the beautiful art direction..I absolutely love how aaliyah's (deepika padukone..for those who havent seen the movie) was done..I was amazed at how attention was paid to tiniest of details to how a free spirited girl like aaliyah's room should look like..Red walls,messy dresser spoke volumes about Aaliyah the free bird..Even the beach shack in australia looked amazing..pssst i would love to live in some place like that..*sigh* colourful pop art cushions,mugs,the couch...they all were in such a sync with the theme of the movie..It was so refreshing n vibrant unlike the kjo n yrf larger than life rooms of their characters..One particular thing that caught my eye was an inflated palm tree that was in the corner of the balcony of the beach shack...I want that cute little thingy!!!

Another movie which i liked for the same reasons is Wake Up Sid..I am sure whoever has seen the movie must have liked it too!! :)

Winter Woes

Its that time of the year again..!!! Dip in temperature,cold dark mornings,warm thick blankets....u get the gist...But its also time for my annual influenza days..*aachooo* Though winters in mumbai are quite mild but low temperature coupled with the pollution really gets on to me *boohoo* *cough cough* *sniffle* Every year at the onset of winter I'm down with flu :( No matter how careful i am but i eventually catch that awfully slow cold!!!!! *sniffle* But i still love this weather..The city looks amazing wrapped in the blanket of morning fog..Hot Coffee,even hotter samosas n who can forget its time for Christmas!!!!!!!!!! The whole world gears up for this festival n adorns itself in shades of reds n greens..The Christmas tree, Santa Claus n his lil helpers, Christmas carols..the glee is infectious..So its time to put on that red cap n sing "Jingle Bells Jingle Bells!!!!!"
